Removal and Installation

REMOVAL 2WD

Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery. Refer to Battery Disconnect.

Remove shift selector finisher. Refer to Exploded View.

Disconnect the harness connectors from the switches on the shift selector finisher.

Remove screws (A) and remove drive mode select switch (1) from shift selector finisher (2).

Using a suitable tool, release pawls and remove drive mode select switch (1) from drive mode select switch carrier (2).

REMOVAL 4WD

Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery. Refer to Battery Disconnect.

Remove shift selector finisher. Refer to Exploded View.

Disconnect the harness connectors from the switches on the shift selector finisher.

Remove screws (A) and remove drive mode select switch (1) from shift selector finisher (2).

Using a suitable tool, release pawls and remove drive mode select switch from drive mode select switch carrier (2).

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
