Removal and Installation

CAUTION:

• Before replacing the BCM, perform “READ CONFIGURATION” to save or print current Nissan Pathfinder vehicle specifications. Refer to Description.

• When replacing the BCM, a new BCM must be used. The functions controlled by the BCM do not operate properly if a BCM from another Nissan Pathfinder vehicle is used.

REMOVAL

Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Remove instrument lower panel (LH). Refer to Removal and Installation.

Disconnect the harness connectors from the BCM.

Remove bolts (A) and remove BCM (1).

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

• Perform "ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REPLACING BCM". Refer to Work Procedure.

REMOVAL

Remove steering angle sensor. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Disconnect the harness connector from the combination switch.

Remove the combination switch screw.

Remove the combination switch.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
