Removal and Installation

The ABS actuator and electrical unit (control unit) controls the electric parking brake function. For the removal and installation of the ABS actuator and electrical unit (control unit), refer to Removal and Installation.

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery. Refer to Battery Disconnect.

Remove the shift selector finisher. Refer to Exploded View.

Disconnect the harness connectors from the switches on the shift selector finisher.

Remove the screws (A) from the shift selector finisher (1).

Using a suitable tool, remove the parking brake switch (2).

NOTE:

The automatic brake hold switch and the parking brake switch are a single unit.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
