  5. Check the DTC.

Is DTC B2724 detected?

YES>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

NO>>

DETERMINE MALFUNCTION TYPE

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  5. Check the DTC.

Is DTC B2724–04, 16, 17, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49 or 55 detected?

YES>>

16 or 17 – GO TO 2.

YES>>

55 – GO TO 3.

YES>>

04, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48 or 49 – GO TO 4.

NO>>

CHECK SONAR CONTROL UNIT POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

Check sonar control unit power supply circuit. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness or connectors.

PERFORM CONFIGURATION OF SONAR CONTROL UNIT

Perform configuration of sonar control unit. Refer to Description.

YES>>

GO TO 4.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE AGAIN

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 30 seconds.

  3. Ignition switch ON and wait at least 30 seconds or more.

  4. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “SONAR”.

  5. Check the DTC.

Is DTC B2724–04, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49 or 55 detected?

YES>>

CHECK FRONT SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect sonar control unit and all front sonar sensor connectors.

  3. Check continuity between sonar control unit connector and ground.

CHECK FRONT SENSOR POWER SUPPLY FOR SHORT TO VOLTAGE

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect sonar control unit and all front sonar sensor connectors.

  3. Ignition switch ON.

  4. Check the voltage between sonar control unit connector and ground.

CHECK SONAR CONTROL UNIT AND FRONT SENSOR CONNECTORS

Check the terminals and connectors of each front sonar sensor and sonar control unit for damage, bends and looseness.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 5.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness or connectors.

CHECK FRONT SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR OPEN

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect sonar control unit and all front sonar sensor connectors.

  3. Check continuity between sonar control unit connector and front sonar sensor connectors.

DTC Description

DESCRIPTION

CAN (Controller Area Network) is a serial communication line for real time applications. It is an on-Nissan Pathfinder vehicle multiplex communication line with high data communication speed and excellent error detection ability. Modern Nissan Pathfinder vehicle is equipped with many electronic control unit, and each control unit shares information and links with other control units during operation (not independent). In CAN communication, control units are connected with 2 communication lines (CAN-H line, CAN-L line) allowing a high rate of information transmission with less wiring.   4. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “SONAR”.

  5. Check the DTC.

Is DTC U2A05–88 detected?

YES>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

NO>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO>>

Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

Diagnosis Procedure

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE AGAIN

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON.

  2. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 30 seconds.

  3. Ignition switch ON and wait at least 2 seconds or more.

  4. Erase DTC.

  5. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “SONAR”.

  6. Check the DTC.

Is DTC U2A05–88 detected?

YES>>

Perform trouble diagnosis for CAN communication system. Refer to Trouble Diagnosis Flow Chart.

NO>>

Inspection End.

CHECK FUSE

Check that the following fuse is not blown:

Is the fuse blown?

YES>>

Replace the blown fuse after repairing the affected circuit.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect sonar control unit connector.

  3. Check voltage between sonar control unit harness connector and ground.
