Meter Buzzer Circuit Nissan Pathfinder Fifth generation

Description

The combination meter sounds the warning buzzer based on the signals transmitted from various units.

Component Function Check

CHECK COMBINATION METER INPUT SIGNAL

CONSULT

1. Select “Data Monitor” mode of “METER/M&A”.

2. Select “BUZZER”.

3. Check that the function operates normally according to the following conditions:

   Monitor item	Condition	Status
   BUZZER	Under the condition of buzzer input	ON
   	Except above	OFF

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK MASTER SPEAKER CIRCUIT

Check master speaker circuit. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure (Full TFT meter) or Diagnosis Procedure (7 Inch information display).

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace combination meter. Refer to Removal and Installation (Full TFT meter) or Removal and Installation (7 Inch information display).

NO>>

Repair power supply circuit of combination meter.

Front Seat Belt Buckle Switch Lh Signal Circuit Nissan Pathfinder Fifth generation

Description

Transmits the front seat belt buckle switch LH signal to the BCM.

Component Function Check

CHECK BCM INPUT SIGNAL

CONSULT

Select “Data Monitor” mode of “BCM” and check the "Seat belt switch (driver)" monitor value.

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK BCM INPUT SIGNAL

1. Ignition switch ON.

2. Check voltage between BCM harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK FRONT SEAT BELT BUCKLE SWITCH LH CIRCUIT

1. Ignition switch OFF.

2. Disconnect BCM harness connector and front seat belt buckle switch LH harness connector.

3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and front seat belt buckle switch LH harness connector.

4. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.

   BCM		—	Continuity

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness or connectors.

CHECK FRONT SEAT BELT BUCKLE SWITCH LH GROUND CIRCUIT

Check continuity between front seat belt buckle switch LH harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Check the front seat belt buckle switch LH. Refer to Component Inspection.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness or connectors.

Component Inspection

CHECK FRONT SEAT BELT BUCKLE SWITCH LH

1. Ignition switch OFF.

2. Disconnect the front seat belt buckle switch LH.

3. Check continuity between the front seat belt buckle switch LH terminals.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

Replace the front seat belt buckle switch LH. Refer to Removal and Installation.
