2. Keep pulling the power window switch AUTO-UP for 5 seconds or more.

3. Keep pressing the power window switch AUTO-DOWN for 5 seconds or more.

4. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “BCM”.

5. Check DTC.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

CHECK MAIN POWER WINDOW AND DOOR MIRROR SWITCH CIRCUIT

1. Ignition switch OFF, and then wait for 3 minutes with driver door open.

   NOTE:

   • Even after ignition switch is OFF, power is supplied to accessories for a certain amount of timer by the AUTO ACC function.

   • When Nissan Pathfinder vehicle is operated while on standby, power may be supplied to accessories.

2. Disconnect front power window motor LH connector and main power window and door mirror switch connector.

3. Check continuity between front power window motor LH harness connector and main power window and door mirror switch harness connector.

2. Disconnect rear power window motor LH connector and rear power window switch LH connector.

3. Check continuity between rear power window motor LH harness connector and rear power window switch LH harness connector.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK BCM OUTPUT SIGNAL

1. Ignition switch ON.

2. Check signal between BCM harness connector and ground using an oscilloscope.

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK LIN COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT

1. Ignition switch OFF, and then wait for 3 minutes with driver door open.

   NOTE:

   • When Nissan Pathfinder vehicle is operated while on standby, power may be supplied to accessories.

2. Disconnect following connectors:

   • BCM

   • Main power window and door mirror switch

   • Front power window motor LH

   • Front power window motor RH

   • Rear power window motors

   • Passenger door mirror control module (if equipped)

   • Moonroof motor assembly (if equipped)

   • Sunshade motor assembly (if equipped)

   Connecting parts other than power window, refer to Wiring Diagram.

3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK LIN COMMUNICATION SIGNAL

1. Ignition switch OFF, and then wait for 3 minutes with driver door open.

   NOTE:

   • Front power window motor LH

   • Front power window motor RH

   • Rear power window motors

3. Ignition switch ON.

4. Check signal between main power window and door mirror switch harness connector, front power window motor LH harness connector, front power window motor RH harness connector, and rear power window motors harness connectors and ground using an oscilloscope.

1. Ignition switch OFF.

2. Disconnect BCM connector.

3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and main power window and door mirror switch harness connector.
