Rear Door Lock Nissan Pathfinder Fifth generation

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

Remove rear door outside handle bracket. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Disconnect inside handle cable from inside handle cable clip.

Remove rear door lock assembly bolts.

Release pawls and remove rear door lock assembly.

CAUTION:

Do not reuse rear door lock bolts

INSTALLATION

Note the following items, and then install in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

• Do not reuse rear door lock bolts

• When installing, tighten bolts in order of sequence shown.

  

• After installation, check rear door lock. Refer to Inspection.

Inspection

After opening and closing the door, check that door is fixed to the vehicle body normally.

Check the lock/unlock operation of door lock.

Rear Inside Handle Nissan Pathfinder

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

Remove rear door finisher. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Release pawls and remove rear door inside handle.

INSTALLATION

Note the following items, and then install in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

• When connecting rear door inside handle cable and rear door lock knob cable to rear door inside handle, check that rear door inside handle cable and rear door lock knob cable are properly engaged with rear door inside handle.

• After installation, check rear door lock. Refer to Inspection.

Rear Outside Handle Nissan Pathfinder 5th Gen

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

Fully close rear door glass.

Remove rear door finisher. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Remove rear door vapor barrier.

Remove door side grommet and bolt from grommet hole.

While pulling (1) outside handle, remove (2) outside handle escutcheon.

While pulling outside handle (1), slide toward rear of Nissan Pathfinder vehicle to remove outside handle.

Remove front gasket and rear gasket.

Slide outside handle bracket toward rear of Nissan Pathfinder vehicle to remove.

Disconnect outside handle cable(1) from outside handle bracket(2).

Disconnect harness connector from outside handle bracket and remove outside handle bracket.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

• After installation, check that door lock cable is properly engaged to outside handle bracket.

• After installation, check rear door lock. Refer to Inspection.
