Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

Fully open fuel filler lid.

Using a suitable tool, release pawl and remove fuel filler lid (1) from fuel filler base (2) in direction shown.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

After installation, check fuel filler lid open/close and lock/unlock operation.

Removal and Installation

WITH FUEL FILLER LID LOCK ACTUATOR

REMOVAL

Remove fuel filler lid. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Partially remove driver side rear luggage trim finisher. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Release fuel filler lid lock actuator tab (A) and remove fuel filler lid lock actuator.

Disconnect the harness connector (A) from fuel filler lid lock actuator.

Partially remove and reposition fuel filler tube. Refer to Exploded View.

Using a suitable tool, release pawls and remove fuel filler base assembly (1).

NOTE:

Be careful not to damage gaskets and body panel when removing fuel filler base assembly.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

After installation, check fuel filler lid open/close and lock/unlock operation.

WITHOUT FUEL FILLER LID LOCK ACTUATOR

REMOVAL

Remove fuel filler lid. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Partially remove driver side rear luggage trim finisher. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Partially remove and reposition fuel filler tube. Refer to Exploded View.

Using a suitable tool, release pawls and remove fuel filler base assembly (1).

NOTE:

Be careful not to damage gaskets and body panel when removing fuel filler base assembly.
