DESCRIPTION
Combination Meter:
The combination meter transmits a master speaker signal to the master speaker when receiving the buzzer output signal transmitted from each unit.
BCM:
BCM receives signals from various units and transmits a buzzer output signal to the combination meter via CAN communication if it judges that the warning buzzer should be activated.
Air Bag Diagnosis Sensor Unit:
Air bag diagnosis sensor unit receives signals from the front seat belt buckle switch RH, each 2nd and 3rd row seat belt buckle switches, then transmits the signal to the combination meter via CAN communication.

PURPOSE
Light reminder warning chime warns the driver of egression from the vehicle while engine status is other than running and lamp is in ON status.
SYNCHRONIZATION WITH WARNING/INDICATOR (INFORMATION DISPLAY)
For warning/indicator (information display). Refer to Light Reminder Warning (Information Display).
OPERATION AT COMBINATION METER CAN COMMUNICATION CUT-OFF OR UNUSUAL SIGNAL
For actions on CAN communications blackout in the combination meter. Refer to Fail-safe Full TFT meter or Fail-safe 7 Inch information display.
SYSTEM DIAGRAM
SIGNAL PATH
BCM reads status of combination switch (lighting switch).
BCM detects vehicle condition depending on the engine status signal (received from ECM via CAN communication).
BCM judges light reminder warning by lighting switch signal, front door switch LH signal, and engine status signal. BCM transmits light reminder warning signal to combination meter via CAN communication.
When combination meter receives light reminder warning signal, combination meter transmit warning buzzer signal to master speaker.
The master speaker sounds with the signal from the combination meter.
WARNING OPERATING CONDITION
When all of the following conditions are satisfied:
Engine status is other than running
Combination switch (lighting switch) 1ST or 2ND position
Front door LH OPEN [front door switch LH ON]
WARNING CANCEL CONDITION
When any of the following conditions are satisfied:
Engine status is running
Combination switch (lighting switch) 1ST or 2ND position
Front door LH CLOSE [front door switch LH OFF]

DESCRIPTION
Seat belt warning chime warns the driver that the front seat belt, second row seat belt or third row seat belt is not fastened.

Combination meter sounds seat belt warning chime according to the front seat belt buckle switch LH signal, front seat belt buckle switch RH signal, 2nd row seat belt buckle switch signals or 3rd row seat belt buckle switch signals.
WARNING OPERATION CONDITIONS
Vehicle speed is less than 9.3 mph (15 km/h)
Combination meter operates seat belt warning buzzer when all of the following conditions are satisfied:
Ignition switch ON.
Front seat belt LH is not fastened.
Vehicle speed is 9.3 mph (15 km/h) or more
Combination meter operates seat belt warning buzzer when all of the following conditions are satisfied:
Ignition switch ON.
When any of the conditions listed below are satisfied.
Front seat belt LH is unfastened.
Front seat belt RH is unfastened and front passenger seat is occupied.
Second row seat belt LH changes from fastened to unfastened.
Second row seat belt CTR (if equipped) changes from fastened to unfastened.
Second row seat belt RH changes from fastened to unfastened.
Third row seat belt LH changes from fastened to unfastened.
Third row seat belt CTR changes from fastened to unfastened.
Third row seat belt RH changes from fastened to unfastened.
WARNING CANCEL CONDITIONS
Vehicle speed is less than 9.3 mph (15 km/h)
Combination meter cancels seat belt warning buzzer when any of the following conditions are satisfied:
Ignition switch OFF.
Front seat belt LH is fastened.
Approximately 6 seconds after the start of warning sound.
Vehicle speed is 9.3 mph (15 km/h) or more
Combination meter cancels seat belt warning buzzer when any of the following conditions are satisfied:
Ignition switch OFF.
When any of the conditions listed below are satisfied.
Front seat belt LH is fastened.
Front seat belt RH is fastened or front passenger seat is not occupied.
Second row seat belt LH is fastened.
Second row seat belt CTR (if equipped) is fastened.
Second row seat belt RH is fastened.
Third row seat belt LH is fastened.
Third row seat belt CTR is fastened.
Third row seat belt RH is fastened.
Approximately 95 seconds after the start of warning sound.*
*: Seat belt warning buzzer is canceled within approximately 95 seconds when all of the following conditions are satisfied:
Vehicle speed is less than 1.8 mph (3 km/h).
Shift position is in P or parking brake is ON.
