Removal and Installation

SEAT RH

Removal

CAUTION:

• Before removal and installation, use shop cloths to protect parts from damage.

• During removal and installation, an assistant is required to protect against injury or damage.

Disconnect negative and positive battery terminals, then wait at least three minutes. Refer to Battery Disconnect.

Remove the headrest.

Slide the seat to the full rearward position.

Using a suitable tool, release clips and remove the front slide finisher [RH (1)] and front slide finisher [LH (2)] in the direction shown.

Disconnect the harness connector, then release from seat frame assembly.

Remove the front seat bolts.

Slide the seat to the full forward position.

Using a suitable tool, release clips and remove the rear slide finisher [LH (1)] and rear slide finisher [RH (2)] in the direction shown.

Remove the rear seat bolts.

Remove all necessary clips.

Fold the seatback in the flat position, then remove the seat from the Nissan Pathfinder vehicle.

Installation

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE:

• When installing the seat RH, tighten the bolts in the order shown.

  

  Seat bolts

  : 45 N·m (4.6 kg-m, 33 ft-lb)

• Captain Seat RH shown; Without captain seat RH similar.

CAPTAIN SEAT LH AND BENCH SEAT LH

Removal

CAUTION:

• Before removal and installation, use shop cloths to protect parts from damage.

• During removal and installation, an assistant is required to protect against injury or damage.

Disconnect negative and positive battery terminals, then wait at least three minutes. Refer to Battery Disconnect.

Remove the headrest.

Slide the seat to the full rearward position.

Using a suitable tool, release clips and remove the front slide finisher [RH (1)] and front slide finisher [LH (2)] in the direction shown.

NOTE:

Seat RH shown; Captain seat LH and bench seat LH similar.

Disconnect the harness connector, then release from seat frame assembly.

Remove the front seat bolts.

Slide the seat to the full forward position.

Remove the rear slide finishers using the following step:

• For captain seat LH, release clips and remove the rear slide finisher [LH (1)] and rear slide finisher [RH (2)] in the direction shown.

• For bench seat LH, release clips and remove the rear slide finisher [LH (1)] and rear slide finisher [RH (2)] in the direction shown.

Remove the rear seat bolts.

Remove all necessary clips.

Fold the seatback in the flat position, then remove the seat from the Nissan Pathfinder vehicle.

Installation

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE:

• When installing the captain seat LH seat, tighten the bolts in the order shown.

• When installing the bench seat LH seat, tighten the bolts in the order shown.

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

Fold down the RH seatback.

Fold down the center armrest.

Using suitable tool, release pawls and remove the armrest bracket outer finisher (1).

Remove nuts (A) and remove the center armrest (1).

If necessary, using suitable tool, release pawls and remove the cup holder (1) from the center armrest (2).

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Second Row Seat Heater Nissan Pathfinder 5th Gen

Removal and Installation

Seat Cushion

The second row seat heater is serviced as part of the seat cushion. For disassembly and assembly of the seat cushion, refer to Seat Cushion (Captain Seat LH), Seat Cushion (Seat RH), or Seat Cushion (Bench Seat LH).

Seat Back Heater

The second row seat back heater is serviced as part of the seatback. For disassembly and assembly of the seatback, refer to Seatback (Captain Seat LH), Seatback (Seat RH), or Seatback (Bench Seat LH).

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

Remove seat cushion (RH). Refer to Seat Cushion.

NOTE:

It is not necessary to separate the seat cushion trim from the seat cushion pad.

Release hooks (A) and position seat cushion bracket (1) aside.

Disconnect the harness connector (A) from the second row seat power walk in control unit (1).

Using suitable tool, release harness retainer from the second row seat power walk in control unit (1).

Remove screws (B) and remove the second row seat power walk in control unit (1) from the seat frame (2).

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Seat Walk in Motor Nissan Pathfinder Fifth generation

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

Remove the seatback. Refer to Seatback (Seat RH), Seatback (Captain seat LH), or Seatback (Bench Seat LH).

NOTE:

It is not necessary to separate the seatback trim from the seatback pad.

Remove screws (A) from the seat walk in motor (1).

NOTE:

LH seat shown; RH seat similar.

Disconnect the harness connector from the seat walk in motor.

Using suitable tool, release pawls and release the track tilt release cable (1) from the seat walk in motor (2).

Remove the seat walk in motor.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Walk in Side Switch Nissan Pathfinder 2022

Removal and Installation

The walk in side switch is serviced as part of the seat cushion outer finisher [RH (seat RH)], seat cushion outer finisher [LH (captain seat LH), or seat cushion outer finisher [LH (bench seat LH)]. For removal and installation of the seat cushion outer finisher, refer to Seat Cushion (Seat RH), Seat Cushion (Captain seat LH), or Seat Cushion (Bench seat LH).

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

Remove the seatback pad and trim. Refer to Seatback (Seat RH), Seatback (Captain seat LH), or Seatback (Bench seat LH).

NOTE:

It is not necessary to separate the seatback trim from the seatback pad.

Disconnect the harness connector (A) from the walk in back switch (1).

NOTE:

LH seat shown; RH seat similar.

Remove screws (A) and remove the walk in back switch (1).

NOTE:

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Removal and Installation

Removal

Remove the seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion (Seat RH), Seat Cushion (Captain seat LH), Seat Cushion (Bench seat LH).

NOTE:

It is not necessary to separate the seat cushion trim from the seat cushion pad.

Remove the seat walk in motor. Refer to Removal and Installation.

Remove screws (A) and remove the seat cushion inner finisher [RH (1)].

NOTE:

Seat RH shown; captain seat LH and bench seat LH similar.

Remove screws (A) and remove the seat cushion inner finisher [LH (1)].

NOTE:

Seat RH shown; captain seat LH and bench seat LH similar.

Remove the recliner release cables (1) from the brackets (A).

NOTE:

Seat RH shown; Captain seat LH and Bench seat LH similar.

Using a suitable tool, release cable retainers from the recliner release cable and remove the recliner release cable from the seat frame assembly.

CAUTION:

Note the cable routing for correct installation.

Installation

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

Route cables correctly for proper function.

Make sure the recline release cable assembly strap (A) is routed through the seat cushion inner finisher [RH (1)].

Recline Release Cable Assembly Nissan Pathfinder 2022

Removal and Installation

Removal

Remove the seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion (Seat RH), Seat Cushion (Captain seat LH), Seat Cushion (Bench seat LH).

NOTE:

It is not necessary to separate the seat cushion trim from the seat cushion pad.

Remove the recline release cable assembly screws (A).

NOTE:

Captain seat LH and bench seat LH shown; Seat RH similar.

Remove the recline release cable (1) from the seat frame assembly in the direction shown.

NOTE:

RH shown; LH similar.

Remove recline release cable assembly (1) from bracket (2) in direction shown.

NOTE:

Captain seat LH and bench seat LH shown; Seat RH similar.

Using a suitable tool, release clips from the recline release cable assembly, then remove recline cable assembly from the seat frame assembly.

CAUTION:

Note the cable routing for correct installation.

Installation

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

Route cables correctly for proper function.

Make sure the recline release cable assembly strap (A) is routed through the seat cushion inner finisher [LH (1)].
