Fail-Safe

The combination meter activates the fail-safe control if CAN communication with each unit is malfunctioning.

Fail-safe

The Head Up Display (HUD) activates the fail-safe control according to the detected malfunction.

B22A0-46 The mirror is shifted to the closed condition and the back light turned off and the operation is continued.

  • The back light turned off and the operation is continued.

  • Operation is continued at a brightness that minimum input from the built-in illuminance sensor.

  • Reset HUD software (Restart HUD system).

  • Stop CAN communication.

  • Turn OFF contents HUD display which disrupted signal.

B22A0-4B The mirror is shifted to the closed condition until the temperature of the TFT display drops to the specified temperature and the operation is continued.

Protection Function

LED protection function

The Head Up Display unit monitors the LED display temperature, and limits and protects the brightness of the backlight when the LED temperature becomes high temperature.
